Our first date! We had an all-day date that included Chick-fil-A breakfast, Five Guys lunch, double-feature movie (Barbenheimer), and dinner at Station 31.

First time we ever cooked together we made homemade pizza dough with the intention of making pizza. But... we forgot the sauce, so we ended up throwing burgers on the grill. This was not and will not be the only time we forget an important ingredient!

Date night at Kowaliga restaurant on Lake Martin. If you're looking for a good spot for dinner while you're in town, we recommend visiting this one! You can access it by land or water.

Felt a little competitive! Robert smoked everyone on the track that day.

Celebrated Bailey's birthday at Six Flags. The weather was perfect, and the company was even better! We rode everything available, including the Sky Coaster sky diving free fall attraction. (speaking of... Robert still owes Bailey Dippin' Dots for agreeing to do that!)

Bryson and Sarah's wedding (Bailey's cousins) was the first time Robert met all of Bailey's family. He remembers everyone being very accepting of him, and he enjoyed helping with the set-up and serving as the parking attendant! (the venue owners even complemented him saying it was the best parking job they've ever seen at their place)

At the Powell family vacation, we went zip lining in the Great Smokey Mountains. Didn't see any bears, but we did see a lot of scenic autumn views. This is where we learned we both love the fall season, which is a big reason we decided on November for the wedding!

This is a reminder that not every date has to be extravagant! We are thankful that quality time is a love language for both of us.

The Britton family vacation took us to Charleston, where we created this memory in front of the Pineapple fountain! (Robert's favorite photo of us!)

The Charleston trip was the first time Bailey met Robert's extended family. She remembers being nervous going into the weekend, but quickly found it easy to fit right in! She even held her own in a competitive game of Dominoes.

Despite the divided house.... we still enjoy watching football together! (as long as Bailey gets her game day pretzel)

For all of you southern gents, this was the day Robert went toe to toe with Allen (Bailey's dad) in a clay shooting match to prove he could take care of his daughter.

For Halloween, we ended up being "the Star Wars house" all the kids on the street talked about! We had a steady line of trick-or-treaters for most of the night, adults took advantage of the fire pit in the driveway, and our Princess Leia and Han Solo costumes were on point!

We were able to spend Robert's birthday in Nashville during a work trip, so we made plans to enjoy delicious ribs for dinner and bought tickets for Zanies Comedy Club! On this particular night, the surprise headliner was Nate Bargatze. Next time you're in Nashville and want to relax and have a good laugh, we recommend visiting Zanies!

Christmas time! Another simple date just to see some Christmas lights.

We love the holiday season, so going to see Pentatonix live was a no-brainer! This double-date with Tyler and Katie (Bailey's brother and his girlfriend) was such a fun night full of Christmas music, laughter, and snapshot memories like this one.

This was our first formal photo together with all 3 dogs, and we were so glad it was for Christmas! The next few months were expected to be very busy with work travel, so we tried to cherish the moments like this while we had the time.

To celebrate 8 months together, we went bowling. We each bowled a strike when we found each other last year <3

Easter weekend was a busy, family-filled, active one - just how we like it! After church, Robert hid cheese and dog treats in the eggs, and we had an Easter egg hunt for the dogs.

We're engaged!!! One year to the day of our very first conversation, Robert proposed! He was extremely thoughtful in how he did it too. His family helped him anchor his sailboat in a quiet slough, decorated it with flowers and lights, loaded it with special dinner food, and he strapped up several cameras to capture the whole story. Bailey's memories of that day: On the bow of his sailboat he said he had loved me from the very first moment we met, and he vowed to 'love and annoy' me for the rest of our lives. Of course I said yes! And that ring.... he spent hours searching for the perfect stone and had the entire ring custom made! This day was a very special memory that I see every time I look at my sparkly left ring finger.

Enjoying another day on the lake as an engaged couple and not prepared for all the wedding decisions around the corner. Ha!

Engagement photo day! We had a ton of fun with this one. The sunset timing couldn't have been more perfect for the sailboat portraits, and we HAD to get some pictures with the dogs in their "Dad asked" and "Mom said yes" bandanas! (thankfully you can't see the sweat pouring down our faces from the 100 degree Alabama humidity!)

A month after getting engaged, we finally found the perfect venue for our wedding. We can't remember how many places we looked at, called, emailed... Both of our moms reminded us often to enjoy the planning process. When we landed on Willow Point, it felt like a weight had lifted and we could really start planning! We cannot wait to see this gazebo transformed into our wedding ceremony site and to share the view with all of our guests!

In August we took a short weekend trip to Atlanta for some wedding festivities. While there, Robert hosted an 'ole stomping grounds' tour which included a hike around The Mill in Roswell!

Are we superstitious? Maybe just a little-stitious! One month out from the wedding, we buried the bourbon. We opted for a bottle of Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea. This particular bottle went on voyage 24, which happened to be in the Caribbean!
